Is G-d really interested in the rules? Or are they just tools to get us to finally, completely notice the splendor of creation and life? Your thoughts?
I think the rules are largely a human creation. Don't get me wrong, I think God has set the bar pretty high (impossibly so, in fact) but that's where forgiveness and a relationship with him come in.
Rules, however, tend to be associated with ritual. And ritual is a human invention.
